With a 70s lightshow to match, Vince will bring along his rope-lights, flashing beacons and oil projector. It'll be just like Austin Powers' apartment!
Typical Charges
As Vince hasn't invested any serious money in his equipment since the mid-80s, he avoids the endless upgrade cycle that many professional DJs find themselves in, and so Vince can be hired for as little at £50 per night for a local event. Truly a 70s disco at 70s rates!
With annual expenses running into the tens of pounds, Ray manages to keep his costs down by replacing just the occasional stylus, drivebelt and bulb. You probably wouldn't want his equipment in the room whilst taking your wedding breakfast, but it's acceptable enough in the dark.
At around 10 gigs a year on average and with no other significant income, Vince avoids paying income tax on his earnings because he doesn't meet the personal allowance threshold. Not surprisingly, therefore, Vince is a cash-in-hand kinda guy.
