One of our more experienced regulars, Sid, with his Sixty Quid price pledge, has recently celebrated his 20th year in the industry. With a formidable reputation behind him, and his latest wife by his side, Sid has been known to be still playing at 11pm with more than 10 guests left in attendance!
With a modern flashing lighting rig reminiscent of a 1980s nightclub toilet, coupled with an impressive dual-CD player system and some of the biggest speakers you've ever seen, Sid is well prepared to tackle any type of musical genre from the war years right through to the early 90s.
Typical Charges
Sid's Sixty Quid price pledge means that for just £60 he'll travel within 5 miles of home and perform for up to 8 hours! That is truly unbeatable value! And there's more! Sid has a collection of over thirty Showaddywaddy jackets (see picture above for example) and will wear one to match your colour scheme!
Sid manages to keep his costs down by working only for cash, and by avoiding PAT testing of his electrical equipment as, he says, "until it's made law then there's no point spending all that money once a year. If I get a shock off of anything, I get my mate Sparky to give it the once-over down the pub.". Sid's cash-only policy means that he can avoid costly bank charges ("nudge-nudge, wink-wink" he says, wryly).
No wonder he's maintained the price pledge for 10 years running!
